Sewcialise is a friendly 10-week course open to anyone who would like to sew in great company whilst learning new skills or developing existing ones.

If you are new to sewing or need a refresher, you can join the tried and tested foundation course and build confidence using your sewing machine. If you have more experience, tutors Alice Butcher and Ginny Farquhar can guide you through a new project of your choosing.

You might like to use the sessions to focus on getting a good fit for your handmade clothes, or maybe you want to tackle a fabric you have never used before. Perhaps you would like to make a garment that you’ve never felt confident enough to attempt on your own, or you’d like to create some soft furnishings or use up all of your scraps on a patchwork quilt, the possibilities are endless.

Please bring a basic sewing kit and your own sewing machine (there are a couple available to reserve, but please let us know at time of booking). If you are a returning student, please bring patterns, fabric & notions.
