Now in its 15th year at Farnham Maltings, Sewcialise, led by Alice and Ginny is a super friendly 10-week sewing course open to anyone who would like to sew in great company whilst learning new skills or adding to existing ones.
This is a mixed-ability class. Beginners or those in need a refresher will complete our tried and tested foundation course covering sewing machine set up, fabric preparation and core skills of seams, finishes, zips, buttonholes and applique. You will gain lots of tips and guidance whilst creating a cushion cover, heart decoration and tote bag.
More experienced sewers are invited to work on their own self-initiated sewing projects, guided by Alice and Ginny, which will help you to build and develop new skills and grow your confidence.
Dressmaking, getting a good fit, soft furnishings and quilting are always firm favourites, but the choice is yours.
Please bring your own sewing machines or reserve one of ours at booking.
If you are a returning student, please bring patterns, fabric and notions.
