Ginny Farquhar
Ginny is a sustainable textile maker and author creating with up-cycled fabrics and papers and naturally dyed textiles and inks, foraged locally and grown on her allotment. She enjoys sharing her processes and skills through a variety of community craft and sewing workshops.
In 2001 she set up and co- ran an up-cycled textile business with long term friend Alice Butcher, with whom she has co-authored three sewing craft books; Sew Fabulous Fabric, Home Sweet Sewn and Sewing for Kids. For the past 12 years they have collaborated as Alice and Ginny and have helped hundreds of people improve their sewing skills. An advocate for promoting sustainable fashion and empowering others to learn to sew, Ginny also set up the textile provision for Farnham Repair Café.
