Volunteering

About

Volunteers support many of our activities at the museum

We have an amazing team of volunteers that support our work at the museum. Their roles range from working in front of house with visitors, helping us keep the garden looking good, supporting education workshops and working behind the scenes with our collections.

We are extremely grateful for the time and expertise that volunteers bring to the museum. Their support is of enormous value and we are always looking to expand our volunteer team.

Volunteering shifts are Wednesday to Saturday 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm.

"I have been a volunteer at the Museum of Farnham for six years now. In that time I have contributed to exhibitions; learnt what is involved in curating the exhibits; attended some varied and fascinating talks; helped with events; enjoyed some social events; made new friends and added to my knowledge of Farnham and its place in history. Would I recommend volunteering to others? Yes - without hesitation."
