‘I volunteer to give back for some of the pleasure I get from doing things at the Maltings. It is also fun to be able to steward at events which I enjoy especially for National theatre screened plays and films. The main reason for volunteering was to give me a purpose in life.’ – Marion Nicholson, Volunteer
Volunteers support many of our activities at Farnham Maltings, from helping with brochure distribution to assisting artists in the community. The time and expertise that volunteers bring to Farnham Maltings is of enormous value and we are always looking to expand our team of volunteers. As a Maltings volunteer you are entitled to the many benefits that the building offers, including complimentary tickets to films and Farnham Maltings’ shows as well as working within a highly creative and sociable environment.
Whether you’re looking to build up your CV or find a new hobby, there will be something for everyone to take part in. Take a look at our fantastic new volunteer opportunities below.
The Maltings Ambassadors scheme is a fantastic, unique opportunity aimed at people who wish to build up valuable experience in Marketing, Journalism & Arts Administration. We are looking to build a team of hardworking and creative individuals who will form a core part of the external marketing of the new season’s shows and events. This will be a sociable and interactive role, requiring confident, friendly personalities with a desired interest in the arts. To find out more and how to get involved, download the Maltings Ambassadors Booklet here.
