We launched our fundraising campaign in April just as we were preparing to open our doors after a long period of closure. At the time Director Gavin Stride spoke of the challenges of the pandemic, the potential impact and the steps that had already been taken to protect our much-loved venue.
We are delighted to share that we have raised just over £70,000.
1073 people donated to the campaign from as far away as County Durham (The Knitting Gift Shop, long-term exhibitors at unravel) and Melbourne, Australia!

By supporting us, you have ensured that we can continue to contribute to the health and specialness of the town. Your donations and investments have helped us amongst many other things to pilot two new festivals 'street' and 'sweater weather' and facilitated the return of the maltings monthly market. We have welcomed back our many hiring groups with special thanks to Demeric Dance School who donated their mufti week fundraising to the campaign. In September we saw the return of our dementia friendly singing group 'Singing for the Mind'.
