In this workshop you will be mastering the foundations of the knitting and focusing in on knit and purl stitch. After learning to cast on, we will work on combining these two stiches to make a variety of patterns on a sample swatch. All knitting is rooted in just these two stitches and once mastered, the possibilities are endless.

Before you go Sarah will teach you to cast off and secure your work.

During the workshop there will also be a chance to look at a variety of yarns and how to decipher yarn label information.

Please bring to the workshop:

• 4mm straight knitting needles (yarn will be provided)

This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners.
