Sarah North

Sarah learned to knit when she was in her early twenties, and soon became addicted to the meditative feeling of working with her hands. She opened The Knit Lounge in 2024, an independent yarn store on the Surrey/Hampshire border which sells wool and yarns made from natural fibres, high quality knitting and crochet tools and teaches several knitting courses. Sarah’s teaching focuses on learning how to read a knitted piece itself rather than blindly following a pattern. Her motto is: “The goal is not to avoid mistakes, but to learn how to spot and fix them!”. Outside of running The Knit Lounge and teaching, she can be found walking her dog, reading a book, or trying to squeeze in some personal knitting time.
