The workshop offers a fresh approach to combining ink with watercolour. Julie will demonstrate various techniques of how to use this exciting medium. You will work from life making compositions from foliage and flowers. You will use various tools and methods to create many beautiful effects. Julie will encourage you to relax and work more freely in your painting and drawing. Colour mixing, composition, drawing, tone and materials will be covered during the workshop.

- Watercolour paints - please bring whatever you have
- A selection of brushes: sizes 1,4,6 & a large brush size 8 or 10, an old brush for mixing
- Pencils- H or Hb & 2B or 3B
- Rubber
- Masking tape
- Ruler
- Sharpener
- Rough watercolour paper-for practice and testing colours
- Watercolour paper-minimum weight 140lb
- Sketch pad or Drawing paper
- Notepad and pen
- Mixing palette
- Drawing board- A2 and smaller is fine
- Water jar
- Dipping ink pen (with a medium drawing nib)
- Waterproof ink, Liquid Acrylic ink or any other inks you might have.
- Fine waterproof drawing pen – size 0.3
