Katrin is a traditional sign-writer, calligrapher and glass gilder specialising in hand-painted lettering, decorative sign-writing and gold leaf gilding.
The demonstrations bring these traditional crafts to life, showcasing freehand sign-writing, gold leaf application, reverse glass gilding and canal rose painting. Visitors can see the techniques in action, learn about the history and materials involved, and have a go at some brush strokes and applying gold leaf.
