Megan Ellie is a hand embroidery and textile artist, trained at the Royal School of Needlework. She will be demonstrating the beautiful traditional technique of Goldwork.

Using gold, silver, copper and other metal wires, Goldwork creates raised, textured designs with a rich and distinctive finish. Traditionally used for Royal and church embroidery, this fascinating technique has become much more accessible and popular today.

The demonstration offers a chance to see how this intricate craft is created and for visitors to have a go at trying out the techniques.
