Nimble Fingers

A friendly knitting and crochet drop-in for people of all ages and all abilities. Meet in the foyer on the second & fourth Tuesdays of the month, 10.30am-12.30pm. Practical Philosophy Course

Philosophy means the love of wisdom. Our course is intended to show how philosophy may help us enjoy richer, less stressful and more useful lives. This opening session considers these aims further, and introduces simple exercises in mindfulness and the application of wisdom which can be practiced in daily life.

Led by Rachel Palmer, Programme Director of The Dance Movement, the class is informed by her training in contemporary dance techniques. Classes involve foot and leg exercises, centre, floor and contact work and the use of weight to instigate movement.

Youth Contemporary Dance

Contemporary follows a similar technique to ballet but allows for a lot more creativity and freedom. Classes involve foot and leg exercises, centre, floor and contact work. Offers babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers an introduction to the joys of singing, playing instruments, moving and dancing in an enjoyable and safe environment. Suitable for ages 3 months – 4+ years.
