Do you love making granny squares and other crochet motifs but you're never sure how to join them?

In this workshop, you'll discover which joins to use for specific projects and try out some classic as well as more decorative crochet joins.

Suitable for those who are confident with basic crochet techniques such as dc(UK)/sc(US), tr(UK)/dc(US), slip stitching, chaining and counting stitches.

Materials required:

Ideally students should bring at least 12 traditional, 3 round granny squares in DK yarn with a corresponding hook size and DK yarn for joining in a contrast colour for visibility. Alternatively, students can bring 4 motifs and frog the joins each time, ready for the next technique.

Once you have mastered the joins, they can be applied to many motifs, however for the purpose of the workshop, please use Merrian's Traditional Granny Square Pattern.
