In this workshop, you will explore intarsia knitting using stocking stitch and garter stitch. You will learn about reading and working from intarsia charts, yarn management, calculating yardage for each colour and how to weave-in ends. You will also learn how to do intarsia cast-on and cast-off. You will leave the workshop having learnted all the skills you need to start knitting various intarsia patterns.Students should be able to cast on, cast off, knit, purl and understand basic instructions.
Please bring with you:

• 2 pairs of gauge-size knitting needles (suitable for DK-weight yarn),
• a ruler,
• scissors,
• pencil/pen,
• tapestry needle.
