Throughout this workshop, you will use mini paper blocks supplied by the tutor, allowing you to practise essential pattern cutting techniques for neckline adjustments.

By participating, you will gain the confidence and ability to modify your own full-size patterns.

We will explore a variety of neckline shapes, including sweetheart and boatneck, and discuss the significance of how the front and back shoulders interact. Additional skills covered in the session include drafting new facings and repositioning the bust dart.

If you are keen to adapt paper patterns or wish to learn or refresh your pattern cutting abilities, this workshop is ideally suited to you. Learning to adjust a pattern’s neckline is a valuable skill that unlocks limitless opportunities for customisation and creative expression in garment construction.

Please bring paper scissors, a pattern master or ruler, pencil, pen, highlighters, a notepad and cellotape. All other materials are provided.
