In the 20th century, Pop Art pioneers such as Andy Warhol, Eduardo Paolozzi and Peter Blake brought silkscreen printing to the forefront of contemporary art. Before this, screen-printing techniques were widely used in commercial printing to produce billboards, Brillo boxes and soup can labels — imagery that would later become central to Pop Art.

Discover this bold and colourful movement with Berkshire Printmakers as you create your own Pop Art–inspired artwork.

Using the printmakers’ extensive library of plain and patterned silkscreens, alongside bright, bold water-based inks, you’ll experiment with layering, repetition and striking colour combinations to produce your own A3 print.

Please dress for mess and bring an A3 portfolio or envelope to safely take your finished artwork home.

Consider bringing left handed paper scissors if your require them.

All materials are included, and the workshop is suitable for all levels of experience.
