Maltings Lunchtime Jazz present a regular monthly jazz performance on a Thursday lunchtime in the relaxed setting of the Barley Room.

Featuring a guest performer supported by a regular house trio of piano, saxophone and double bass. Previous guests have included Nigel Price, Steve Waterman, Tony Woods, Stuart Henderson and Debbie Bracknell.

Richard Exall

Richard is a tenor saxophonist and clarinettist, whose career spans classical, jazz, Latin and swing, with performances alongside legends from Cubanismo to the Glenn Miller Orchestra. A regular on the UK and European festival circuit, he’s played everywhere from West End theatres to international jazz stages, leading acclaimed projects like The Magnificent Seven, The Krupa Connection and his own Shooting Stars band.

Expect an hour of virtuosity, energy and style from one of the most versatile and respected figures on today’s jazz scene.

With the house trio of David Kirby – piano, Marianne Windham – bass and Alex Forsyth – sax/flute

Doors open 12:15, performance 1pm to 2pm. Entry £10 on the door.
