Join artist Martyna Karch for an introduction to linocut printing, where you'll learn to handle carving tools and practice essential cutting techniques.

Each participant will create a practice block, giving everyone the chance to explore different mark-making methods and you will receive step-by-step guidance on creating repeating patterns. You'll learn techniques for inking your lino block and printing your designs onto fabric.

Feel free to bring along any personal images you'd like to use as inspiration, though plenty of creative resources will also be available to help you develop your design.

This workshop is interactive, creatively engaging, and highly informative—ideal for beginners as well as those with prior experience.

All tools and materials are supplied, including carving gouges, linoleum, drawing supplies, a non-slip mat, inks, rollers, and fabrics to print on.

Each participant will take home their unique carvings and mark-making block, along with test prints and printed fabrics.
