Martyna Karch
Hello, my name is Martyna. I was born and grew up in Poland and from an early age I was fascinated by art. My path to becoming a full-time artist has been somewhat involved, as after secondary school I initially studied Music at the Fryderyk Chopin General Primary and Secondary Music School in Bytom, Poland.
After several years I decided to quit music and carry on in mainstream education. My passion for art came to the fore and I studied at The People’s University of Arts and Crafts in Wzdów for two years and graduated with a Bachelor of Textiles degree. From there I then went on to study Graphic Art and Design at Silesian University in Cieszyn for a further five years. My education was then complete and my passion for art was realised as I embarked upon my own artistic career.
Raised in the city, my first works constantly referred to the hustle and bustle of city life and its diversity. The tram theme became a part of my every piece. For some years my works were exhibited and sold at an auction house in Warsaw.
From Poland, I relocated to the UK in the early 2010s and I now live in a small village near Fleet, Hampshire. I enjoy my life as a fulfilled wife, a mother of two incredible boys and as a full-time artist. My artwork now includes paintings, murals and commissions and I have a diverse and interesting portfolio.
