Weave your own hand broom in this workshop!

Participants will choose their broom shape and hanger type and then tie it all up with the twine colour of your choice. Leave with a beautiful broom that actually sweeps! Learn the fundamentals of heritage handcrafted brooms (a pre-industrial heritage craft that uses no machinery and no electricity), as well as the processing and handling of fibre, various twine types, plus some broom history and lore.

These pretty brooms are perfect for smaller spaces: potting sheds, artist studios, kitchen counters, camper vans, hearths, and book shelves - keep any small space tidy and looking stylish!

Please note: broom making is a surprisingly physical craft requiring strength and dexterity in both hands and feet. Be prepared to engage your core, hands, arms, legs and back for extended periods.
