FAOS Musical Theatre proudly presents Come From Away, the internationally acclaimed musical that tells the extraordinary true story of kindness, community, and humanity in the face of unimaginable events.

Set in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, the show follows the remarkable moment when 38 planes were diverted there on 11 September 2001, bringing nearly 7,000 unexpected passengers to a community of just 10,000 people. What unfolded over the next five days became a powerful testament to generosity and compassion — and FAOS is bringing that story to life on stage with heart, humour, and unforgettable music.

This uplifting production celebrates the spirit of connection, weaving together real stories of friendship, resilience, and hope. Audiences will be swept up by the driving folk-rock score, the fast-paced storytelling, and the emotional depth that has made Come From Away a global phenomenon.

FAOS’s local staging captures the intimacy and energy of the original West End and Broadway productions while showcasing the exceptional talent within our community. Expect moving performances, and a night that will leave you inspired and uplifted.

Whether you’re a long-time musical theatre fan or discovering this show for the first time, Come From Away is a celebration of what happens when ordinary people do something extraordinary. Join FAOS for an evening that reminds us of the power of kindness and the strength we find in each other.

On 9/11, the world stopped.

On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
