We are now looking for artists and companies already making or planning to make theatre for libraries, who are wanting to make connections with local library venues, and other arts organisations, in the South East.

Hosted by Rekindle and Farnham Maltings, Pitch Up is an in-person event which provides a platform for libraries, producers and artists to pitch ideas, providing space for new partnerships to emerge.

By having libraries, producers and theatre-makers pitch what they have to offer and what they're looking for, we aim to foster a more collaborative and open approach than traditional pitching events- and it is supported by house South East Theatre Network for a libraries edition of the much loved networking event.

The following libraries and organisations will be pitching their opportunities for partnership working:

Buckinghamshire Libraries; Luton Libraries; Surrey Libraries; Kent Libraries; Slough Libraries; Medway Libraries; Kingston Libraries; and Applause Rural Touring.

We are also delighted to offer a key note speech from Louisa Steele, Relationship Manager, Libraries, South East Arts Council England

This is also a networking event, with plenty of time over tea and coffee for libraries, artists and organisations talk about what they have to offer, and what they're looking for, aiming to foster a more collaborative, open approach to traditional pitching events.

Who can pitch?

• Companies & Producers who are already making work in Libraries, or are currently in development of a project for Libraries
• Libraries from within the South East region looking to programme artistic events for their spaces.

Artist Applications Now Open

We are now looking for artists and companies already making or planning to make theatre for libraries, who are wanting to make connections with local library venues, and other arts organisations, in the South East.

Please complete our Artist Pitch Up application, telling us a little more about yourself and your work by 5pm Monday 13th October 2025 – link to the form here: Artist Pitch Up Application

• We’ve written the application so that it shouldn’t take you more than 30 minutes to complete.
• You can also choose to submit your application as a video or audio file attached to the application form, instead of providing a written response.

If you are a freelancer and there's a cost barrier to you attending Pitch Up, house are able to offer a contribution towards your usual day rate.
