unravel... a festival of yarn

festivals and events

the largest independent yarn show in the south east of England

unravel is a much-loved yarn festival presented twice a year at Farnham Maltings

Each edition of unravel brings together a vibrant community of knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers and makers for several days of textiles, creativity and connection. While both events share a focus on high-quality materials, thoughtful making and independent craft, they offer two very different experiences:

Held every February, the renowned festival runs over three days and features a packed programme of bookable workshops, free talks, exhibitions and a diverse marketplace of exhibitors from across the UK and beyond.

The next edition will take place on Friday 13 - Sunday 15 February 2026.

Taking place each September, this is a quieter and more reflective edition with a focus on seasonal making, sustainability and creativity. Visitors can explore the carefully curated marketplace, join practical workshops, and hear in-depth from artists and makers working across the fibre arts, whilst enjoying the beautiful location both inside and outside. The next edition will take place on Friday 11 – Saturday 12 September 2026. Exhibitor applications will open late Feb 2026 and tickets will be available from May 2026.
