thread is our annual festival for sewists and fabric lovers. Enjoy a curated marketplace and meet textile producers, yarn purveyors, textile artists and makers. Learn from the experts, try new techniques & enjoy a varied programme of bookable workshops.

thread takes place at Farnham Maltings in Farnham, Surrey. Our address is:

workshops

Workshop purchases are final sale and non-refundable.

Workshop purchases include admission to the thread marketplace and attendees may enter the marketplace from 9.30am on the same day as their workshop.

Please check in for your workshop at the Information Desk in the foyer next to the Box Office at least 15 minutes before your class.

food and on-site cafe

The Foyer Bar will be open during the festival serving a variety of snacks and teas and coffees for takeaway only. Alternatively there are many local cafes and restaurants nearby or a short walk away from the Maltings.

cash and card payments

There is no cash ATM on site at the Maltings. Many exhibitors take card payments but not all. Should you need a cash point there are a NatWest, HSBC and Barclays a quick 10 minute walk away on The Borough. A Lloyds Bank is also nearby on Castle Street.
