Our Youth Theatre Groups are designed to give children and young people an inspirational experience in theatre led by professional leaders and artists with guest workshops by touring companies. The groups are open to anyone with or without any experience and participants progress by age to the next group. We create a positive, professional and welcoming environment to inspire children and young people’s technical, creative and expressive skills. Our ambition is to support and provide diverse opportunities in theatre encouraging skills and talent development.
A creative and fun group for children aged 8 – 11 years who enjoy drama and want to develop their skills. Junior Maltings take part in drama games, improvisation and devising as well as working on scripted pieces and performing in local events. The group also has opportunities to see a range of live Theatre Productions. No experience needed just energy and a keen interest in drama and theatre!

A creative and fun weekly group for 11 – 14 year olds who enjoy drama and theatre and want to develop their skills further. Acting Up work on devised and scripted pieces and explore new and exciting theatre styles plus opportunities to take part in local performance events. The group also has opportunities to see a range of live Theatre Productions. No experience needed just energy and a keen interest in drama and theatre. Book online.

A Youth Theatre Company for young people aged 14 – 25yrs who want to make theatre. The company take on exciting and ambitious projects and performances that provide opportunities for participants to gain experience in a wide variety of the theatre styles. An open access company for any young person who wants to be challenged and make theatre inspired by professional practices. No experience needed just a keen interest in drama and theatre. Practical and production based sessions teaching the basics of theatre lighting, sounds and stage management. The term finishes with the group providing the technical support and stage management for Spark 2018 – Farnham Maltings’ annual children and young people’s festival!
