Wensleydale Longwool
Taught to knit at the age of 4 by my great aunt, I have always been encouraged to "have a go"; nothing is unachievable just simply skills we haven't yet mastered! Wensleydale Longwool produces fine wool, sourced and processed solely in the UK. We strive to ensure our wool is of a high quality in a range of weight from Aran (worsted) to a fine laceweight (new). The landscape of the Yorkshire Dales is our inspiration for our carefully curated colour palette along with our natural undyed colours. Our patterns are exclusive to us from a range of designers to showcase the beautiful lustre and drape that makes Wensleydale so special. Our aim is to produce high quality wool at a mid-price range making it a popular choice with crafters. Our wool production is carefully managed by us at each step of the process to ensure that happens. From our base in Wensleydale we source some of our wool 2 miles from our shop from a small flock of Wensleydales. We process these fleeces ourselves to create the wonderful kits and dyed and undyed locks for crafters.
