Valerie Syposz is a Canadian artist based in Oxfordshire. She has been working with printmaking for the past 20 years, studying at Concordia University, Canada and Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan.

Her current prints are created using lithography and relief techniques with a strong focus on hand printing. Syposz is most interested in representing the human form and the emotions it evokes. Her figures are transformed through drawing, cutting, and layering, to become prints that reflect on existence and perceptions of self.

Syposz has held solo exhibitions in Canada, Japan, Australia, Norway, and Korea. She has participated in artist-in-residence programs, including at Guanlan Original Printmaking Base, Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder and the Ottawa School of Art. Syposz continues to exhibit frequently in group exhibitions in North America, Europe, and Asia.
