Shirley Watson creates original hand-cut lino prints, printed on a hand press in her home studio in Farnham. Her print inspiration comes from a love of colour, light, and shadows found in nature, which celebrates the changing seasons of the British landscape. Many of her prints are made using the reduction process, creating a multiple colour linocut print from a single block. Lino is removed from the block for each layer and each colour is printed on top of the last. This creates a limited edition of prints, as the block cannot be reused.
