Sarah Jane Gordon is a fully trained artist with a BA in Design Crafts, specialising in printmaking.

Sarah's work is inspired primarily by the sea and nature and whilst she is a lover of all art and craft, her passion lies with printmaking, exploring pattern, colour and texture. Sarah produces work which speaks of her love for the coast, specifically the treasures the strand line offers up on a daily basis; fossils, shells, pottery fragments, glass, drift wood, seaweed.

Sarah uses all of these findings in her work as part of the process and/or outcome. Printing on found surfaces and incorporating the things she finds in one-off pieces of jewellery or printed works.

It is Sarah's hope that the work she produces echos the feeling of excitement and joy of finding natural treasures which she experiences when walking the coast.
