She's twice played live on BBC Radio 4’s Woman's Hour and was interviewed by Andrew Marr on BBC Radio 4’s Start the Week on the role of politics in song (she has a master’s degree in politics and philosophy).

Her debut collection of poetry and lyrics Queen Ithaca Blues was published by Oxford's Albion Beatnik Press and Gillespie launched her song-writing mentoring practice, the Create Now Academy, in 2020, delivering song-writing and creativity mentorship to artists around the world. This year Gillespie is touring in the USA and Europe with her latest album Half Cut recorded in Berlin’s legendary Hansa studio.
