Snigdha works with artisan printers in villages surrounding Jaipur to make small batches of handprinted fabrics which are made into scarves, dressing gowns, kaftans, wash bags and other textile accessories. Some of these are printed/ dyed using natural dyes and mud resist printing. Only at Thread, handprinted running material will also be available to buy for further use. A new addition is hand painted and embroidered materials which are made using Azo free dyes on silk and other blends. Working with women in rural West Bengal to repurpose old materials into throws and scarves decorated by hand embroidering techniques . Nothing goes to waste - the print rejects are transformed into fabric envelopes used as packaging for Saneymi products.
