At RiverKnits we combine the traditional material of wool with original dyeing techniques to create exciting new ways of making for knitters, crocheters, weavers and other yarn crafters. Our range is made up of seasonal collections, underpinned by a permanent palette of hand-dyed colourways. Customers describe our colours as jewel-toned, saturated, and wearable.

We have a huge selection of mini skeins in 78 individual shades and we're particularly proud of our magically-marled Chimera yarn - it's a lot of fun packed into a skein.

We don't want to make our customers to choose between fun colours and sustainability, so we focus on both! All of our wool is carefully sourced from British flocks, including prize-winning rare breed flocks from within 8 miles of our Northamptonshire studio. We work closely with UK mills to ensure our yarn is spun to an excellent standard with a small environmental footprint before being hand-dyed by us.

We love to work with designers, both well established and emerging talent, so that we can offer a range of contemporary knit and crochet patterns and kits suitable for our yarns.
