Helen Lockhart of Ripples Crafts Hand Dyed Yarns has been hand dyeing yarn since 2008 at her home in Assynt in the Scottish Highlands. She is surrounded by stunning landscapes that offer her constant inspiration for different colourways. She is known for her deep, saturated shades which she loves to dye and use in her own work, be it weaving, knitting or crochet and her colourways range from almost solid shades to wildly variegated and glazed colourways. Her bases range from fine laceweight through fingering, double knitting, and aran weight yarns sourced from various fibres and sheep breeds.
