RAUWERK’s organic wool comes from environmentally friendly, animal-welfare-friendly and certified organic livestock farming in Bavaria, Germany.
Grazing, lambing, shearing, spinning and dyeing all take place in Bavaria.

RAUWERK’s textured yarns are typical of traditional knitwear designs in southern Germany and the Alpine region. The long experience in sheep farming, certified organic livestock farming, and carefully crafted yarn production and dyeing is what makes RAUWERK wool so special. The ‘Original’ and ‘No2’ yarns are both spun from uncombed, carded fibers, which provides excellent thermal insulation and ensures a natural, rustic character.
