ompompom is a slow fashion label by textile artist Sally Underwood, based in Hastings. She creates bold, graphic garments that sit between art and clothing. Using lambswool, she knits, felts, and presses unique windproof, water-repellent fabrics before hand-cutting and sewing each piece. Living with arthritis shaped her development, and her mindful approach to design and longevity slowly evolved. Rejecting wasteful sizing, she works mainly to order, crafting bespoke garments in chosen colours and shapes and sizes. Her signature long coatigans showcase striking compositions - timeless, made-to-measure pieces meant to be worn for years.
