Mim Winsor Studio

A blue and white photo print of a delicate and thin plant

Working primarily with natural elements such as plants and seaweeds, Mim Winsor uses the historic cyanotype process to create beautiful pieces of art. During her photography master’s degree, Mim extensively researched how our society perceives and connects to plants and explored the forgotten value and beauty of so-called weeds. This has enabled her to create pieces with an enriched, deeper connection to nature and the processes she uses. Each print is sensitive to multiple influences during exposure and processing, such as sunlight, humidity and the individual contours of the plant specimen, therefore making each print unique and unrepeatable.
