Lisa Takahashi has made linocuts for over 10 years, using the process to create bold, dynamic images. Her cycling prints use overlapping shapes to evoke speed and excitement and have appeared several times at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Recently, Lisa has turned to monoprint and monotype techniques, enjoying a more intuitive approach to printmaking. Her love of paper stencils has allowed her to continue to work with the clean-cut shapes that inspire her, in a way that enables the image to evolve throughout its making. Alongside her practice she teaches printmaking workshops across the country.
