Laura Chaplin is a Cambridge-based printmaker and art teacher known for her multi-layered, ethereal screen prints and artworks, often featuring natural and urban subjects in muted colors, who participates in Cambridge Open Studios (COS) to showcase her unique process and pieces like silk scarves, notebooks, and larger works, interpreting overlooked beauty in the world around us through observation. She works from a studio in West Cambridge and uses a painterly screenprinting style, finding inspiration in the mundane and imperfect, and teaching art to share her passion.
