Justine Lee
Founder of Ossian

unravel...a festival of yarn speaker
For 30 years, Justine Lee designed knitwear for Britain’s best-known brands, a career she re-evaluated after learning about the devastating waste and pollution caused by fast fashion.
To address this, she embarked on a Masters in Textile Design, focused on creating a model for sustainable knitwear. Her extensive research included sampling wool from all 62 British sheep breeds, ultimately identifying 12 suitable for soft, wearable yarn.
This journey culminated in her becoming self-employed and founding Ossian, a sustainable knitwear company. Justine is dedicated to fashioning a future for heritage British wool and is convinced the fashion industry must urgently "buy less, but buy better."
