I use fine silver wire to create my jewellery, using wrapping, twisting and stitching techniques developed from my degree in Embroidery to create my intricate, elegant jewellery. I use glass beads for colour and texture. Inspirations include historical dress and most recently nature. This has become the greatest influence on my work over the last two years. I started “drawing” with wire on a larger scale as a response to the wild flowers I was surrounded with on walks. These wire flowers have in turn influenced my jewellery and the two sides of my work are now naturally interconnected.
