Hannah Elliott Ceramics
Hannah Elliott makes tactile pots for everyday use. She throws them on the potters wheel in earthy red clay. Then dips and dashes the surface with liquid blue and white slip. They're finished with a wash of super-glassy transparent glaze, which brings a touch of luxe to the raw terracotta. 'There's something utterly mesmerising about the process of throwing. Time stops and Hannah I'm riffing with the clay and the centrifugal force. It's a moment of flow and fascination.' Hannah Elliott is based in Haslemere, West Sussex.
