Born in Guildford, a local girl, Fiona Pearce studied Art at what was then known as the West Surrey College of Art and Design here in Farnham. Working mainly in acrylic, she applies thick layers with a brush, fingers and occasionally a credit card from her studio in Upper Farringdon. Many pieces are inspired by the beautiful local countryside especially The Bourne Woods and Frensham, but her love of colours, shapes and the use of space on the canvas is what excites her the most about painting. Ultimately, her goal is to make her art come alive, using the colours that bring her energy on to the canvas.
