About Stopgap Dance Company

Stopgap Dance Company is a world-renowned international dance company of disabled and non-disabled artists who pioneer inclusive choreography and dance training. We also run a range of youth and adult dance groups across the southeast of England and have been working within the community for over 20 years. These provide stimulating experiences for enthusiastic participants, acting as a pipeline for the next generation of diverse dancers. We are passionate about providing young disabled people routes into dance, whether that be for fun or as a profession.

Creating an environment where everyone can enjoy dance is something that is really important to the company. By using dance as a movement for change, our vision is to create an inclusive world where diversity is not just accepted but pursued, a world where no one is limited by prejudice against D/deaf, disabled, or neurodivergent people.
