Emma Vining is a widely published knitting designer who is known for her creative use of knitted textures and cables. She loves working on projects which combine multiple knitting techniques and she has a strong interest in the design and technical aspects of knitting.

Her original hand knitting patterns can be found in publications such as The Knitter and Knitting magazines, Making Stories and The Journal of Scottish Yarns. She is the author of A Knitter’s Guide to Shawl Design and A Knitter’s Sketchbook, both published by the Crowood Press.
