Emily Barnett is a textiles artist, designer and tutor specialising in Hand Embroidery. Emily graduated from The Royal School of Needlework and have had the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects for companies including Alexander McQueen, Sanderson and The Royal School of Needlework Embroidery Studio. Emily is influenced by Biophilic design in her practice through the use of botanical imagery and natural materials. She creates a range of textile art and homeware pieces inspired by rural England and historical decorative arts. Bringing this to contemporary audience by combining traditional embroidery techniques including Stumpwork and Canvaswork with painted elements.
