Dan Goode

Dan Goode is a speaker, curator, writer, judge and coach. Dan has given talks and sat on advice panels for The Design Trust, Arts Thread, Handmade in Britain, Design Nation, Craft Northern Ireland, and many more.
Dan was an independent curator for all Handmade in Britain shows from 2016-2023 under ‘Curated by Dan Goode'. During this period, in Chelsea, Kew, Oxford and Edinburgh, he represented over 100 of the UK’s finest makers. In 2024 he took on the role of Consultant Director of Handmade in Britain, a position he holds to this day.
Dan sat on the selection panel for the Annual Richard Seager Award until 2021 and has been a craft judge for the Global Design Graduate Show every year since its inception in 2020. In 2021 he became a member of the selection panel, and one of the expert speakers, for The New Ashgate Gallery Rising Stars Exhibition, becoming a judge in 2022 and finally a gallery board member in 2024. In 2023 and 2024 Dan had the pleasure of curating and judging the London Potters Annual Members’ Exhibition at the Morley Gallery.
Last, but certainly not least, Dan has his own enterprise, Making Goode, through which he provides one-to-one coaching, writing and editing services and targeted business advice, talks, articles and curation for the entire making community – both individuals and organisations – and beyond.
