Cold Ash Press is run by Katharine, a letterpress and linocut printmaker.

Following on from a BA(Hons) in Fine Art, Katharine worked in three print galleries in the West End before setting up a photography business. During this time she attended letterpress courses in Italy and London and started acquiring a collection of wooden and metal fonts, the oldest from C1900.

Katharine works from a tranquil garden studio in Hampshire, producing stationery and posters and teaching small letterpress workshops on two Adana 8x5” presses and poster courses on a Rollaco etching press. Her next project is to produce a set of prints, incorporating linocut and letterpress - illustrations with words!
