Clay Evolution

Zelide's work explores rhythms by using pattern and texture. Inspired by tribal patterns, a design on a piece of fabric, art or patterns found in nature. Designs are applied, freehand by the process of slip trailing onto wheel-thrown or slip-cast vessels. Janet’s range of ceramics include vases, wall pieces and other vessels which are wheel-thrown and hand-built. Inspired by the sea, Janet uses glazes she makes in her studio such as lava, matt and shiny glazes to create contrasting textures and colours. Helen makes a range of work includes vessels such as bottles and lidded forms. Decorated using found objects which hold personal meaning to her.
