Claire Quick creates tactile, sculptural jewellery inspired by the textures and forms found in nature. Working primarily in recycled silver and gold, she uses traditional and experimental techniques to create individual pieces with richly textured surfaces and distinctive organic forms. Her work explores erosion, carved voids, depth and the relationship between solid form and negative space. Precious gemstones are incorporated within the forms, creating an element of discovery as the stones emerge from the jewellery. Each piece is designed and made by Claire in her Surrey studio, celebrating individuality, craftsmanship and the beauty of natural imperfection.
