Lucy Turner is a professional willow artist living in Devon. Having originally trained in ceramics Lucy got hooked on using willow after doing a short course back in 2016. Lucy has since gone on to train via a three-year City and Guilds course as well as learning from and being inspired by other basket makers. Lucy has a sustainable willow bed at home, which she uses for her work and as material for teaching workshops. Lucy experiments with traditional and modern weaving techniques to create a range of willow basketry, and incorporates leather, driftwood and other materials in her pieces.
