Charlotte Hurst
Charlotte has lived in Farnham for over 20 years and so is very aware of the role the Maltings plays in the town’s culture and identity. The Maltings has been a constant presence in her family’s life, from children’s dance shows to teenage sewing classes; with films, plays and festivals; and now the University of Third Age, which she’s closely involved in. She wants to help the Maltings thrive into the future, as a central part of life in Farnham. She previously served as a Trustee of the Weydon Multi-Academy Trust, where her children went to school.
Professionally, Charlotte’s experience is in helping organisations develop and change. She’s worked with a wide range of public sector bodies, charities and private sector companies – as a project and programme manager, an external consultant and then the managing director of a company designing and creating digital services. Her focus has always been on people and culture. She has a particular interest in developing the capability and confidence of organisations and individuals, through coaching and skills development, engagement and communication. She’s led a number of initiatives to adapt ways of working, and to help people and teams get the best out of technology.
